Our top-rated performers in France
This week we’ve been revealing our Team of the Season for each of Europe’s big five leagues across our social channels. It’s something that always causes plenty of debate so here are the ground rules: We take our list of the average FotMob player ratings for the season and work out a team with the top rated player in each position placed into a standard 4-3-3 formation. To qualify for the list the player must have featured in at least 50% of his side’s league games.
In France, that has produced the team you see below.
As you’d imagine in a league dominated by one team, PSG provide the majority of our selections, with their superstar front-three producing the three best averages across the board. With the most goals (28) and assists (17) in the division Kylian Mbappé unsurprisingly topped the list with an average FotMob rating of 8.22 from 35 games played.
Elsewhere there are plenty of names featured that will be filling the transfer rumour columns over the summer, or in the case of Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouaméni – names that already are!
The biggest surprise inclusion is probably Bruno Guimarães who despite leaving the league to join Newcastle United in January still maintained one of our three best average ratings for Ligue 1 midfielders.
If you disagree with our selections, we’ll see you in the comments!
